This was not what I was expecting. Jessica is a middle class girl rubbing shoulders wit the upper class. She works hard. And avoids relationships. One night is all she needs. Until that night she meets Alec. Alec is looking for an escape. He is looking for a good time and Jessica is more than he expected. One night, no last names, no strings. Except at the end of the night they can't seem to forget each other. The story that develops is complex, interesting, and just flows. It was not what I expected. I was moved to tears. I loved it.
Dirty Royal is a sexy fairy tale about a beautiful American and a prince who fall happily in love until a family tragedy causes an upheaval in their lives that they might not be able to overcome. The characters have their flaws - Jessica seems a little flighty and Alec has a bit of a temper, but overall they are likable. The story is pretty straightforward and romantic. This is the third book I have read by Amelia Wilde and I find her writing to be easy flowing and involving. I enjoyed this book very much.
Alec, 2nd in line to the throne of Saintland, runs to New York because he doesn't want to have a relationship with the women his father and brother choose. Alec and Jessica hook up thru a dating app for a one night only. It turns into more. The chemistry between Alec and Jessica was off the chart, and Alec takes Jessica with him when he returns home. Things go downhill from there and Jessica goes back to New York. Alec has to decide what's best for him and his country. I received a copy of this book as a gift for an honest review. i also purchased my own copy.

I can't say that I loooved this book. It was nice, but not what I expected. I don't know ... Maybe a little bit more kinky )) the intimate scenes between them are fast forward and usually I like to see more of their connection. Their chemistry. It felt lacking at some points.
And at the end, I had that feeling that she forgave him too easy. All her plans and the things she wanted for herself in Seattle, gone just like that? In one minute? Just because he said sorry?
And then again fast forward to the epilogue... And what's up with the cover? And the tattoos? He doesn't have any. In my opinion this cover makes you imagine and expect something that it's not real.
But since I got it for free on , I can't say that I'm complaining. It was ok.
Jessica grew up with rich folks because of the scholarships she had for school. Her friend Christian keeps setting her up but it doesnt work out. One night she wants a hookup and goes on an online dating app where she picks out Alec.
Alec is a prince who needs a vacation so he goes to NY where he signed up for an online hookup site where Jessica messaged him.
They meet up and dont exchange last names but a few days later they cant stop thinking of each other so they meet up. Alec is summoned home because he has been found out so then Alec takes Jessica with him.
His family is not fond of her so it causes rifts but will there attraction for each other over rule that?
Alex met Jessica at a club in New York. He left his princely duties for a two week vacation from his duties in Saintland. Using their dating app they met and had a wild sex filled night. They agree to only first names and only one night. Of course they met again and again with Jessica's friends. Alex asked her to come to Saintland with him. This did not bode well with his father the king and Marcus his brother. Marcus dies and Alec is thrown into more duties then he wants to handle. This affects their relationship and he sends her back to New York. More to come, you must get this!
Dirty Royal read like a modern day fairy tale. The handsome prince swoops down and meets the commoner.
It had discrepancies with the timeline that I found hard to ignore and unexplained storylines and plots. I wasn't sure why the royal family was so concerned about Alexander's social calendar. I also felt conflicted with Jessica. One moment she's possessed polished and the next she's immature and can't deal with social situations.
Overall it was an ok read and it's give it 2-2.5 Stars
